Nice place in the late fall when temperatures are nice and the bugs are somewhat gone. Be aware of wildlife in the area. We have chihuahuas and they only go out in the x-pen under constant supervision, especially at night. Coyotes were howling, fox ran by us, there were deer and peacocks.
Just stayed for 4 nights and 5 days. Site 13 a really spacious spot with fire pit/bbq and next to bathroom/shower. Near shoreline and walking trails. Access to potable water. Quiet until the kids showed up. Only on last night. (Thankfully). Dogs welcome for small (2.00) fee per night. Host and hostess checked on me several times. Woman camping alone with 2 small dogs.
Peacocks scream, startled me. Lol
With only a few small stores located in winters 4 miles from park. Prices for everything is pretty high. So don't forget anything. Lol.

Good site for easy camping. Lots of people but relatively quiet. Decent bathrooms and showers. Lots of birds, river otters, and squirrels but too populated for any real wildlife.
Our first time camping at this place. We camped here to two nights. It was a great place to camp. We camped at #17 spot. There is not much shade from 9am to 2pm. I would recommend #16 for shade. :)
It’s right next to the lake, people can kayak, fish. Kids were playing in the water as well. Toilets were very clean with running water, you will see a lot of spiders though e.g. wolf spiders.
There are peacocks running around the park as well, really cool to see them.
Favorite place to fish! My dog has been coming out here with me since I adopted her at 3 months old. She learned to swim in this section of the creek. Never too busy. Beautiful scenery.
Quiet, very relaxing park with a beautiful lake for kayaking and with several picnic tables with barbecue grills and VERY CLEAN restrooms!
We really enjoyed our stay here for 5 days. The park was quiet after Sunday and I found a good fishing hole
Great spot just outside of Winters. It's not fancy but fun and full of wildlife.
